We look forward to assisting you once we receive your file.
\n
\n\n
2. I have not received my posting instruction / release message. What can I do?
\n\n
Please contact your Career Manager / Release Centre, as BGRS cannot provide any relocation services until you have an active move file. While you wait, you can start familiarizing yourself with the relocation process by:
\n\n
\n\t
Reading the CAF Relocation Directive (CAFRD)
\n\t
Downloading the APS 21 Relocation Assistance Document
\n\t
Reviewing the CAF Relocation Program Overview
\n
\n\n
Please note, you should not make any financial commitments until you have received your posting instruction / release message.
\n\n
3. I just received my posting message / release paperwork. What do I do?
\n
\nThe first step is to create an account with BGRS (or log in to your account if you already have one). Your posting message / release paperwork will have instructions on how to do this.
\n
\nOnce you have an account, you will be asked to enter the details of your posting message / release paperwork to see if the system can find a match. If the system cannot find a match, please keep in mind it can take up to 5 business days for your file to be authorized by the CAF. Once you have found a match, and completed the PRA, our system will guide you through your next steps.
\n\n
4. It has been over five business days and your system still cannot find a match with my posting instruction / release message. Can you assist me?
\n\n
First, please verify that the information you have entered is exactly as it is found on your posting instruction / release message. For example, although your name may be spelled incorrectly on your posting instruction / release message, the CAF will have provided BGRS with this same information. In order to initiate your registration on the Member Secure Website (MSW), you must enter your name (and all other information) exactly as it is found on your posting instruction / release message. Depending on the issue, the CAF may have to make a correction before you are able to proceed. If a request to have your file reactivated has already been sent by your CAF Coordinator, please ensure you include the “!” at the end of your move number. In all other cases, please contact your CAF Coordinator to investigate the issue as it is likely BGRS has not yet received the file authorization from the CAF.
\n
\n5. What is the Preliminary Relocation Assessment (PRA)?
\n
\nThe PRA is a form you must complete once you have received your posting message / release paperwork and matched with a file authorization in our system.
\n
\nDuring the PRA, you will be asked to provide essential information regarding your family size, intentions, and other important details. This information can be updated/modified as you go through your relocation in order to ensure BGRS has all the information we need to customize the information we are providing to your situation.
\nBGRS is only able to provide relocation services after you have completed and submitted your initial PRA.
\n
\n6. I have entered all the information in the PRA but cannot move to the next page. What do I do now?
\n
\nPlease ensure all mandatory fields have been completed. Mandatory fields will be marked with an asterisk (*).
\n
\n7. Why can't I complete my PRA? My posting message / release paperwork said for me to complete the registration on your site.
\n
\nIt can take up to 5 business days for BGRS to receive your file authorization from the CAF. Please try to complete your PRA again once this timeline has been met. Once a match occurs our system will walk you through the PRA process and guide you through your move.
\n
\n8. I have completed my PRA but haven't heard from BGRS. Can you assist me?
\n
\nPlease ensure that your PRA has been submitted and not only saved as a draft. Once you have submitted the PRA, an auto-generated email with instructions from BGRS is sent to the email address associated with your username. Please check your junk or spam folder to ensure that it was not received and treated as junk or spam.
\n
\n9. What do I do when I get my User ID and password?
\n
\nYou will choose your username and password when you create an account. Once you have successfully created an account and found a match to your posting message / release paperwork, you will have full access to all the information and tools BGRS has created to assist with your move.
\nIf you are unable to find a match, please keep in mind it can take up to 5 business days for your file to be authorized by the CAF.
\n
\n10. Can I call or email for assistance?
\n
\nYour secure website has all the tools and information you'll need to self-serve throughout the course of your move. We understand, however, that there will be times when you need to speak to a relocation agent with BGRS.
\n
\nOnce you have submitted your PRA, details on how to contact us will be provided. Your questions or concerns will be handled by one of our agents.
\n
\n11. I plan on releasing in the next year. What are my options?
\n
\nBGRS is only authorized to provide assistance for your move once the CAF has authorized a file in our system and you have completed your PRA. Once you have elected your release location with the CAF, they will request a file be authorized for you.
\n
\n12. Should I require policy clarification / adjudication or have service delivery questions who may I talk to?
\n
\nBGRS is your first point of contact for all move questions however; each Base / Wing has one or more CAF Relocation coordinators who are responsible to assist CAF Members with their questions. If you are uncertain who the CAF coordinator is for your area, please contact your orderly room.
\n
\n13. TPSP – Third Party Service Providers
\nWhat are participating suppliers and do I have to use them?
\n
\nBGRS invites suppliers such as appraisers, home inspectors, lawyers, notaries, rental search agents, and realtors® / brokers to join our supplier directory. To join, those suppliers must agree to certain service levels as well as maximum ceiling rates.
\n
\nIt is your choice to decide if you want to use a supplier from the directory, or not. If you choose to use a supplier that is not in the directory and they charge you above the maximum ceiling rates, you are responsible to personally cover the additional expenses.
\n"}
